Around AUHS

In a few days, America will celebrate its 250th birthday! Getting to this place has required the dedication of many patriots, such as our own Professor Belo, a captain in the U. S. Army Reserve. As we reflect on the grace of God and the sacrifices of our fellow citizens, we are reminded that it is only by God’s grace and the sacrifice of our students, faculty, and staff that AUHS has been successful in training healthcare professionals to help make our country healthy.
In this edition, you will read about the dedication of a young mother and the support of her classmates to make her dream of being a nurse come true. You will also read about one of our amazing faculty members who was recently featured by the Physiological Society. She represents one of the many Americans who came to this country to flee war and persecution and contribute their dedication and talents to helping the United States reach 250 years.
