What This Milestone Represents

The NAPLEX is the national licensure examination required for entry-level pharmacy practice in the United States. First-time pass rates provide one meaningful indicator of how effectively a program prepares graduates for professional competency.

While licensure outcomes are only one measure of preparation, this result demonstrates the strength of AUHS’s instructional model, structured academic support systems, and clinically integrated curriculum.

Faculty Leadership and Student Commitment

Arjun Dutta, PhD, BPharm, recognized the collective effort behind the achievement:

“A big shout out to our faculty and staff for their invaluable support and guidance to our students in reaching this milestone. We are proud of the Class of 2025 and remain committed to strengthening outcomes in the years ahead.”

The School of Pharmacy employs simulation-based learning, interprofessional collaboration, and individualized mentoring to support student success. Examination performance data are reviewed regularly as part of a continuous improvement framework.

As an institutional benchmark, the School maintains a goal of achieving a 100% first-time pass rate, reflecting its aspiration toward the highest standards of preparation and accountability.

Mission-Driven Preparation

This achievement aligns with AUHS’s Christian-based mission to prepare healthcare professionals who serve diverse communities with competence, compassion, and integrity. Academic rigor at AUHS is paired with formation in service, stewardship, and respect for human dignity.

As a minority-serving institution, AUHS remains focused on expanding access to healthcare education and preparing graduates to contribute meaningfully to community health and health equity.
