Student Profile: Carmel Sampson, Pharmacy
By Carmel Sampson and Brent Davis
This month we are highlighting an amazing your lady from our School of Pharmacy, Carmel Sampson. Carmel is a native Californian who was raised by her mother. She grew up as the middle child of three, with one older brother and one younger sister. Her mother got remarried last year, and she now has three more siblings, two stepbrothers and one stepsister.
Growing up, Carmel was raised with strong Christian values that shaped her early years and now her adult life. She became a Christian when she was 7 and felt called by God to the mission field at an early age.
She has been a Pharmacy student since June 2023 after considering a few different Pharmacy Schools, but feeling like AUHS is where God wanted her to be right now. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, songwriting, and rollerblading. She also attends mission trips with her church Patria, which means family in Greek. She is a student representative for Salt & Light at AUHS, and a student tutor through the A2i Mentors program at AUHS.
In the future, she aspires to help people physically and spiritually as a Missionary Pharmacist and also in the area of medical research. Carmel Sampson truly represents the AUHS values of love, caring, justice, and respect. We are so thankful for students like Carmel!
