Spotlight: Shiva Metghalchi,
Dr. Shiva Metghalchi received her doctoral training from Loma Linda University and brings extensive experience in research and graduate instruction. Her scholarly work focuses on environmental exposures and lifestyle factors across the cancer continuum, including lung cancer, COPD, and cancer prevention. She has presented her research at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.
Over the past decade, she has contributed to clinical trials in breast and lung cancer, as well as prevention research among diverse populations. Dr. Metghalchi is passionate about translating research into meaningful health outcomes and reducing disparities in care. Guided by faith-informed values of service and compassion, she is committed to mentoring students and preparing future healthcare professionals to lead with integrity, excellence, and purpose.
