I met my husband in the Philippines when I was in medical school, and we are blessed with 4 children who keep us both young and busy.
- What shaped your values growing up?
My values were shaped by my grandparents and parents who always encouraged me to reach for my dreams and inspired me to be a doctor. I have fond memories of working at my dad’s psychiatric clinic during my summers and free time. My parents were very involved with the Philippine Medical Association when I was growing up, and I would volunteer with them.
- When did you begin your involvement with AUHS?
My involvement with AUHS was when I began teaching Health Informatics and Nursing Leadership.
- What motivated you to join (or work with) AUHS?
I was motivated to join AUHS because I love to learn and teach. I think that learning is life long and it’s wonderful to learn something new every day.
- What do you love doing most in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love to be with my family and to go to different restaurants to try new foods from different cultures. We also like to travel as a family.
