Spotlight: Barbara Cook-Strong, Student Services

Barbara surely lives up to her name. She is a strong lady who keeps student services cooking! How did Barbara become the woman of faith she is today? In her own words:
When I was a child, I remember doing things all the time with both sides of my family and enjoying the love and laughter. AUHS has that same value – we treat each other as family, and we work hard, love, and pray together. Our mission is to build strong students in the health science field, to show them that their dreams can come to reality and that giving to others is one of our major purposes in life. We welcome students from all nationalities and backgrounds without judgement, just as God does for us.
For the past 6 years, I have truly enjoyed my experience with AUHS supporting students, working with amazing peers, and [supporting] community engagement. It has given me an opportunity to express and share with others what God has for us—and will be for us!
Barbara richly deserves the spotlight, as she has been so instrumental in making AUHS the amazing place it is.
