The PhIT Club continues to be a vibrant and inspiring part of our School of Pharmacy. Its members also serve as board members and officers for professional organizations such as the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), California Pharmacists Association (CPhA), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP). They actively participate in seminars, presentations, and near-peer teaching, truly embodying the spirit of leadership and collaboration.

The PhIT Club helps prepare our SOP students to compete and present at local, regional, and national conferences, while fostering critical thinking, teamwork, confidence, and professional identity formation as future pharmacists.

In addition to professional development, the club focuses on strengthening soft skills such as interpersonal communication and time management. These skills are essential for success in clinical rotations, postgraduate residencies, and licensure exams. Most recently, the club welcomed a guest speaker from Dynavax, who shared valuable insights on the evolving roles of pharmacists, including immunization practices, protecting the community we serve, and career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.

The PhIT Club is more than just an organization. It’s a launchpad for leadership, advocacy, and growth. Today, student members came together to discuss student wellness during final exam
