President’s Message
By Caroll Ryan, PhD
This is an especially meaningful time at AUHS. As we look back on more than three decades of service and look ahead to new opportunities, we are reminded that our University continues to grow while remaining firmly grounded in the mission and values that have defined AUHS from the beginning.
This past year gave us much to celebrate. One of our proudest moments was honoring the Class of 2026 and watching our newest graduates take the next step in their journeys as healthcare professionals. Each graduate represents not only an individual achievement, but also the fulfillment of our larger purpose—to educate knowledgeable, compassionate professionals who will make a meaningful difference in the lives of their patients and communities, particularly those who are underserved.
That same sense of purpose is guiding AUHS as we move forward. We are expanding academic opportunities, strengthening our facilities, developing new partnerships, and creating new ways for our students to learn, serve, and succeed. Yet even as AUHS evolves, the heart of our University remains unchanged. Our commitment to faith, learning, service, and compassion continues to shape how we educate our students, support one another, and serve our communities.
There is much ahead for AUHS, and I am grateful to everyone who continues to be part of our journey. Together, we honor the foundation built over the past three decades while creating new possibilities for the generations of healthcare professionals who will follow.
May God continue to bless our students, faculty, staff, alumni, our University, and the communities we are privileged to serve.
