Family: I have been happily married for over 27 years. My husband has been my steadfast partner through life’s ups and downs. We have two wonderful sons, Jonathan and David. Jonathan lives and works in Seattle, WA, while our younger son, David, who has special needs, lives with us and brings immense joy, laughter, and perspective to our daily lives. We also have a 9-year-old dog who was originally my oldest son’s but has become “my” loyal companion. My family is my anchor and greatest source of inspiration.
Values Growing Up: I was raised in a Christian home, where my parents instilled in me the values of hard work, love, respect, and service to others. These principles have guided me throughout life, shaping the way I interact with students, colleagues, and patients.
Involvement with AUHS: I joined AUHS in August 2025.
Motivation to Join AUHS: AUHS’s Christian-based education and commitment to serving underserved populations resonated deeply with me. I was inspired by the opportunity to help the School of Pharmacy grow and to mentor the next generation of pharmacy leaders who not only excel clinically but also give back to the community with compassion and integrity. Being part of a mission that aligns so closely with my personal beliefs and values is deeply fulfilling.
Professional Background:
I am an accomplished pharmacy leader with over 25 years of experience, specializing in community pharmacy operations, leadership development, and clinical mentorship.
Throughout my career, I have held leadership roles within a large pharmacy organization, guiding and managing pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and support teams. My leadership philosophy emphasizes operational excellence, patient-centered care, and fostering professional growth among my teams.
I am particularly passionate about mentoring future pharmacists, drawing on decades of hands-on experience to help students and new practitioners develop confidence, clinical skills, and a strong sense of professional ethics.
With a deep understanding of the evolving pharmacy landscape, I continue to pursue shaping the next generation of pharmacy professionals through education, mentorship, and compassionate leadership. I find great joy in seeing students grow into confident, caring, and capable pharmacists who positively impact the communities they serve. Above all, I trust that God is in control, and I strive to walk with Him, following His plan in every aspect of my life.
Hobbies and Volunteer Work: Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my husband and sons, exploring new cultures, and creating lasting family memories. My husband and I are planning a four-day Inca Trail hike next year, and we try to hike regularly to prepare. I am also an active member of Christ Central of Southern California in Fullerton, where I have faithfully served for over 30 years. My faith community has been a constant source of support, grounding, and opportunity for service, shaping who I am today and the way I serve others.
