On June 2, 2021, several AUHS faculty members and staff visited Long Beach Rescue Mission (LBRM) to administer health surveys and consultations for patients/community members. Faculty from the AUHS School of Pharmacy guided and helped establish plans to provide additional healthcare services to the underserved and homeless populations, and gathered preliminary data for further research and study. This ensured to develop a better understanding between the caregiver-patient relationship.

The event was organized by AUHS, AUHS Foundation, and Mr. Robert Probst, who is the Executive Director of Long Beach Rescue Mission and holds nearly 20 years of experience working with rescue missions. Through this blessed and wonderful opportunity gifted by God, AUHS is very excited for many upcoming opportunities and prospects with LBRM so that those who are in need can receive the proper care and love in God’s name.
